Founded in Bengaluru, our journey began with a dedicated group of volunteers committed to breaking the cycle of poverty through education, nutrition, and skill development.

Our seven-member Board of Trustees brings together distinguished professionals from law, finance, education, healthcare, and social work. Each trustee serves a renewable three-year term, with a mandatory rotation policy that ensures fresh perspectives while preserving institutional memory. The board convenes quarterly, with all resolutions passed by majority vote and documented in publicly accessible minutes published within thirty days of each meeting.
The Board of Trustees holds twelve specific statutory powers under our trust deed, including authority over asset acquisition, investment policy, grant allocation, and the appointment of key executive officers. All property transactions exceeding £50,000 require unanimous board approval. An independent audit committee, comprising three trustees and two external advisors, reviews all financial statements quarterly before certification by a Big Four accounting firm, ensuring complete fiscal transparency and donor confidence.
The trust holds four freehold properties across the region, including our flagship community learning center in the county capital, two rural outreach hubs, and a dedicated administrative headquarters. All properties are registered with the Land Registry and held in the trust's corporate name with restrictive covenants preventing sale or transfer without Charity Commission consent. Annual property valuations are conducted by an independent RICS-registered surveyor, with full reports included in our published annual returns to guarantee complete asset transparency.
